U.S. Machine Cancel Identifier – Service Markings with Circular Dial and Year in a Straight Line

The dials with split or continuous horizontal year dates are for the most part American machines. Note, however, that the Barry circle postmark could have been used as a service marking. The service markings from these machines include a wide variety, from ‘Train Late’ to various ‘Received’ designs.
