Your machine cancel was made by a machine sold by the Perfection Company. This machine was not motor-driven, but was rather a mechanical device that impressed the equivalent of a handstamp cancel. These machines were sold to small-town postmasters in the early part of the 20th century, primarily in the Michigan area.
