License Plate Frame from Ralph Williams Ford, Encino

[License plate frame]

I never did business with Ralph Williams, but my father did. He leased a brand new Ford Mustang in 1965, and I got this license plate frame before he returned the car from lease.

For fans of the Firesign Theatre, Ralph Williams should be a familiar figure. He was the model for "Ralph Spoilsport", the fast-talking television car salesman in the FT's "All Hail Marx and Lennon" album. In Los Angeles in the 60's, late-night TV was full of Ralph, hawking his wares, so he was a well-known image to FT fans.
