'New' Carpe Near Clapperton Island

[Carpe Near Clapperton Island, North Channel, Canada]

This is a picture of our new Carpe Diem cruising past Clapperton Island in the North Channel of Canada, during our trip this July 1998. We had just left the Great Lakes Cruising Club rendezvous, held at Gore Bay. After a night on the hook at Eagle Island (terrific storm, hail the size of golf balls falling all around), we were on our way to the Rouse Islands near Little Current. This was one of the last cruises we took in this boat.

Photo is courtesy of Ron Dwelle, a member of the Great Lakes Cruising Club.

You can see another photo of her at: Carpe at her berth in the Bay City Yacht Club.
