We've just added pages for our trip to New Zealand. Take a look, the scenery is incredible.
The pages for JWB cards depicting WWI troopships has been augmented to include many other troopships and has been enhanced with more background material. This is an ongoing project.

Another forgotton update! I generated a new version of the News Digest Reader program in July 1999, but the changes got lost. This is an intermediate version, but it works better than previous versions.

Not much has happened recently on the web site, just a few tweaks. However, our house construction is now complete. More construction photos are available here.
I've updated the Finder and Backup Removal Programs for Win32 systems (95/98/NT). They are still freeware.

The look and feel of many pages has changed. We've installed Cascading Style Sheets in several areas, such as the Travel pages. If your browser doesn't handle this latest method of displaying iformation, you should still be able to read the content of our pages.

Our domain is back on the air (wires? fiber?). Please excuse our dust while we re-construct the site here in Maui.

Here are some new scans of Spruce Squadron images from the First
World War.
These fellows were located in the forests of Oregon and Washington,
and cut and processed timber for airplanes. The scans include:
a real photo postcard of spruce soldiers at
Agate Beach, Oregon [47k JPG], and
a real photo postcard of spruce soldiers with a logging truck [58k JPG]. The
pictures are tied together with
an article about the spruce squadrons.

A new version of the File Finder Program has been placed on the website. This version contains various fixes, and has implemented a right-click capability that can invoke the "Send To" menu items.
The site map for the Swanson Group web site has been updated. Unfortunately, this map will usually lag small changes made to the site. We'll try to keep you up to date when larger changes are made, and will post a message here.
Since so many site changes are taking place, and more are planned for the near future, we are generating a more central location for site news.
