Machine Cancel Identifier - Columbia

Your machine cancel was made by a machine sold by the Columbia Postal Supply Company of Silver Creek, New York. The machines made by this company generate a wide variety of markings. This marking is fairly easy to identify. The postmark is in the form of several parallel lines of text, although the size of the type used varies with different types of machines. The killer bars are horizontal, and appear in a variety of configurations, including pairs of horizontal lines.

There is a bit more information available about these machines on my Machine Web page.
