Our Ham Radio Activities

icom ham radio

In November 2011, we became amateur radio licensees. Better known as "hams". As newbies, we have generally connected using the 2 meter and 70cm bands. We bought a portable HF antenna, and were able to talk to the "world". Now that we don't have a motorhome any more, we are doing less, mostly using hand-held radios with local repeaters. We GREATLY appreciate the fine work done by all of the local amateur radio clubs who install and maintain the repeaters all over the United States!

Finding Us

Use the DuckDuckGo search engine and look for:

our call signs "KD0PYT" or "KD0PYS". You'll find several links.

We have benefitted from membership in the American Radio Relay League, and also belong to the Escapees Ham BOF subgroup.

Take a look at QRZ.
